smart film spec sheet
pdlc technology
Smart Film uses polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) technology.
When electricity is applied, liquid crystals align to allow light to pass through the film, creating a transparent window. When power is removed, the crystals scatter light, producing an instant frosted privacy effect.
UV & Infrared Heat Protection
PRIVASEE Smart film not only provides privacy control but also contributes to interior protection and comfort.
Ultraviolet (UV)
Ultraviolet radiation is invisible energy from sunlight that can cause fading and long-term damage to furniture, flooring, fabrics, and interior finishes. PRIVASEE Smart Film blocks up to 99% of UV radiation, helping protect interior materials while still allowing natural daylight to pass through the glass.
Infrared Radiation Reduction (IRR)
electrical specs
Smart film operates using a low-voltage AC power supply that activates the PDLC layer within the film. It consumes minimal energy, typically around 5–6 W/m² during operation, while enabling rapid switching between transparent and frosted states within milliseconds. The system is designed for stable performance in interior glazing environments and operates reliably within temperature ranges of –15°C to 90°C.
